This rare example of an American Light Cavalry saber from the War of 1812 showcases a dramatically curved, decoratively engraved blade, imported from England and etched with patriotic motifs and the word "Warranted" in gold near the base. The sword retains its original ivory grip, beautifully aged, and is housed in a full brass scabbard that still bears large portions of its original leather hangers, attached to the suspension rings, an uncommon survival.
